I am currently reading a book that is totally different from most books I have ever read. Books are always (mostly) about special people. People who do different things, see different things, to which happen different things. I am currently reading 'Stoner' by John Williams, and this book is nothing like all the other books.
I love visiting book shops - I love the smell of books, the feeling of new books. This book has been in the Dutch Top 10 for so long. I knew the cover but the book never attracted me. The description wasn't really interesting, in my opinion.
I was downloading some new books for my e-reader (which I will be reviewing, if you'd like) when I came across Stoner. I thought, well, the book has been in the Top 10 for so long, I must read it. And I do not regret it at all.
I haven't even finished the book, but it's just so different. I don't know the ending and I'm only halfway trough, but I wanted to spread my enthousiasm. It's so simple, and it's so wonderful in its simplicity.
