Just like many I am addicted to music. I'm constantly wearing headphones or earbuds and when I'm not I'm thinking about music (okay, this sounds really obsessed but I think you can understand what I mean). My idea was to share some of my current favourites with you!

I'm really into alt-J at the moment. The first song I ever heard was 'Breezeblocks' and it was weird but I liked it and after listening to it for a few more times I was addicted to it. I started listening to more and Breezeblocks doesn't belong to my favourites anymore, but the next ones do:
alt-J - Taro
alt-J - Tessellate
(you should just check out An Awesome Wave (the album), it's amazing)
I recently saw the Arctic Monkeys live (still so super extremely excited! Yay!) and I've started to love them even more. The new album is simply amazing and it's the 'not-so-famous' tracks which I love the most.
Arctic Monkeys - Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High
Arctic Monkeys - Knee Socks
and of course
Arctic Monkeys - Arabella
I've always been a great Foo Fighters fan. I used to listen to the Foo Fighters 24/7 but my music style has been changing a bit (I'll love the Foos forever, though. They were the first band I love I saw live). It's the calm, beautiful songs I've been into for the past few weeks.
Foo Fighters - Everlong (acoustic version, it'll make your eyes tear so beautiful)
Foo Fighters - Ballad Of The Beaconsfield Miners (listen to this with a good cup of coffee and a good pair of headphones and you will zone out for a minute and a half. It's amazing.)
When talking about soft and calm and relaxing music I always immediately think of Ben Howard - his voice always manages to calm me down, how mad or annoyed I am.
Ben Howard - Esmerelda
Ben Howard - Call Me Maybe (I hate the original song but this cover is amazing)
When I first heard George Ezra's 'Budapest' I thought it was a 40-year-old man singing, when I found out it was a 20-something singing I was surprised. It's not his hit Budapest which I love the most, but
George Ezra - Did You Hear The Rain
I've been into electronic music lately and I recently discovered something new. If you're really trying to relax and calm down, you should listen to
LIZ - STWO
I believe everyone has heard Milky Chance's 'Stolen Dance' (which you probably hate at the moment because it's being played constantly). When I discovered Milky Chance I immediately loved the following tracks, you should check them out - they're perfect for a nice hot summer day together with a lovely cocktail
Feathery - Milky Chance
Flashed Junk Mind - Milky Chance
And last but not least, I think you should check out the band I recently found out about, Glass Animals.
Glass Animals - Gooey
is my favourite, for sure. I hope you liked my suggestions, if you have any ideas based on my music style for me let me know! (I said music style but it's not one 'style', I don't have a clear music style I like - my preferences change constantly but I'm always in for something new)
Have a lovely day - Sjoukje
